Small Business Owner Q&A: “Why I Love My Panasonic Toughbook!”

Small Business Owner: Why I Love My Panasonic Toughbook

Like many business owners, I rely on a computer to help me run things. It’s like a part of the team.

It keeps me organized, keeps me in touch with vendors and customers, and in the same virtual world as my family. It also keeps track of billing and expenses and keeps track of my time. That’s a lot.

Unfortunately, most computers aren’t too durable. I need to be mobile, so for me a laptop makes sense.

Being in and out of the office, and out at job sites visiting customers and vendors, my laptop goes where I go.

Over the last five years I can’t tell you how many times I have had to replace a pervious laptop because it got something spilled on it, something fell on it, or it fell off of something. (Too many.)

Why I Love My Panasonic ToughBook:

And then, there were the ones I feel like I must have overworked to the point of death. Some of my pervious work laptops simply just quit, always at the most inconvenient time. This is also known as a fail rate, and I know know it can happen to any computer at any time. I have taken computers in to the shop and been told those failures may have been due to condensation or extreme temperature. Or, sometimes they just fail for no real reason.

This, this constant failure with pretty laptops was just not working for me anymore.

I can’t afford to replace my machine every few months, and I can’t afford to be without one, either. Fortunately, I found a solution.

From dealing with so many issues, at this point had a few requirements I needed in my next machine:

  1. I needed a rugged laptop that I could haul around in my truck.
  2. It needed my next laptop to be a waterproof that I could take outside without worrying about it getting a little wet.
  3. More than waterproof, I really wanted a spill resistant laptop I have a habit – or perhaps just a bad luck streak – of spilling my coffee, tea, or whatever is next to me at my desk.

My Personal Experience With My First Panasonic Toughbook

One day, a colleague told me about the Panasonic Toughbooks: Waterproof laptops that can perform all the daily functions I need to run my business and keep up with my personal life as well. A big claim to make – or so I thought.

I had never heard of a Toughbook before…

As it turns out, there is a whole line of them. The best Panasonic Toughbooks for me happen to come from the Fully Rugged Toughbook line.

This is because I work around heavy equipment and machinery and spend a lot of time at construction job sites where things get knocked around. If you need something extra rugged like I do, then the best Panasonic Toughbook is the Panasonic CF-54 model.

This is a shock proof laptop that can take a real beating without missing a beat. Not only that,

My Panasonic Toughbook also has a fail rate that is six times less than the industry average – This means that it is much less likely to up and quit on me.

Once I realized how much money I was saving by owning one of the top Panasonic Toughbooks, I recommended them to my employees and crew. For those who aren’t sure what the best Toughbook is for their employees is, a good place to start may be the semi-rugged Toughbook models.

In my research I found these Toughbooks to be the best option for my employees who are constantly on the go and find themselves taking meetings in hard-hard conditions.

For these employees I choose the Panasonic Toughbook CF-53, (below) a semi-rugged Toughbook that I think would be suitable the needs of most small businesses on the go.

Then, for the remaining employees who performed their jobs best with the versatility of a tablet, the Convertible Panasonic Toughbook CF-C2 (below) was my choice machine.

A business associate owns the Panasonic Toughbook CF-SX2JDAZ1M, which is still a seriously tough machine, but a bit more refined-looking.

(I did look at this model, but perhaps from being a little scared from previous experiences with ‘pretty’ laptops, the ascetics of the machine we’re actually a deterrent to me.)

Regardless of my hesitance, he loves his computer, and thus for people who still need a shock proof computer and something that is resistant to abuse, but maybe not quite as rugged, I would recommend the Panasonic Toughbook CF-SX2JDAZ1M.

My Toughbook has made my work, and life, incredibly easier.

Gone are the days of constant worry that my laptop is going to crash, and I love that I don’t need to be OCD, carrying it like a baby, when I need to carry the machine from one place to the next.

From my experience, my Panasonic Toughbook was a great investment. The best part for me is not having to replace my laptop every three or four months. The Panasonic Toughbook has more than paid for itself, it has provided a considerable return on investment for my small and growing business.
